Course Target Market
Aimed at students ranging from new users to advanced and business professionals.

Entry Requirements
Participants must have basic computer experience. Access to a computer out of class time is recommended.

Qualification
Participants, on satisfactory completion of the course and any related assignments, will be awarded a Certificate in Social Media. This is the only accredited Twitter and Social Media Qualification in Ireland. It is a must-have for any Marketing or Social Media professional will look great on your CV.

Total Course Time
18 hours tutored training - 3 hours per week for six weeks. Participants should allow a further 3 hours per week for assignment and revision.

Course Description
This accredited course will bring students up to speed on all aspects of Twitter and social media. The course unpicks and demystifies Facebook profiles and pages, twitter for business, blogs, smartphone (iPhone) apps, market research and website social media strategies. We place emphasis on the management of the various SM points of contact, optimising communications and reporting. Expert qualified teachers and facilitators give hands on classes to help students explore individual needs and leave with a toolbox of sites, services and skills that will prove useful for years to come.

Course Outline

Analysis of Web Stats

Participants will be introduced to web stats analysis to assess how well your site is performing and how you can optimise its content for better search engine visibility. Also includes site curating, filtering and analytics.

Publishing Content on Social Media Sites
Participants will learn the best practice approach to operating Facebook and LinkedIn pages for you and your company. Stats, history, publishing content, and assessing site reports.

Gowalla, Tumblr, Color
Participants will learn to create elastic networks using social media apps like Color, customise and share content (photos, music, videos) for microblogging sites like Tumblr, and use geo-tagging sites like Gowalla to create and engage with a network of customers/clients.

Integration
The above sites and apps will be used to create and customise content for integration into your own company site, and to populate your multi-platform social media outlets.
