This certificate is intended to give students a comprehensive overview of radio programme production, audio editing, midi audio sequencing, effects processing and studio recording.

Students will participate in experimental and creative projects which aim to develop sound editing, sound sequencing and effects processing skills.

The programme is suitable for those who wish to work within the Radio / Music Production sector. The course will also act as a foundation year for relevant third-level programmes.

The course requires full-time attendance for a period of one year. All necessary equipment is provided by the college including workstations and sound recording equipment. Candidates are required to secure and undertake a work placement during the year as part of the Work Experience module.

An interest in the subject is essential. Suitable candidates will be called for interview.
