Qualification
Participants, on satisfactory completion of the course and any related assignments, will be awarded a Profile of Achievement Certificate in 3D Modeling for Games and Unity3D Game Design from City & Guilds.
Total Course Time
24 hours tutored training - 3 hours per week for eight weeks. Participants should allow a further 3 hours per week for assignment / revision.
Course Outline
Overview of the Unity
3D Graphical User Interface
Creating basic assets in a 3D modeling package (3D Studio Max) and exporting to the Unity3D Game Engine
Unity 3D Materials
Unity 3D Cameras, lights, colliders, particle systems and physics.
Unity 3D Prefabs and Packages Setting up 2D game GUI (GUIText and GUITexture)
C# programming - basic concepts and terminology: variables, functions and the Unity Inspector.
Attaching and linking scripts between objects.
Basic game mechanics - doors, platforms, switches, player controls and enemies.
Touch controls using C#
